MIDSUMMER SCREAM CPR/AED TRAINING AT HAUNTX
Over 90 People Certified in CPR and AED use
In partnership with our sponsors Midsummer Scream the world is a little bit safer today.
Hosted at the Pomona Fairplex at the HauntX event we trained over 90 future lifesavers.
We would like to thank our sponsor MidSummer Scream for making this possible. Along with their tremendous generosity and support of HeartSafe Neighborhood Foundation to advocate, train and establish Heart Safe Neighborhood™ programs.
Upon completion of training, each recipient received a 2 year certification in CPR and AED use, a t-shirt designed by Austin Pardun, and weekend passes to Midsummer Scream.

If you are looking for Sunday Funday, you just found it! Come join us for Surfin Sundays on the beach At the HUNTINGTON BEACH Pier. Rockin Surf tunes and even a little rockin roll! IT'S FREE,
Enjoy a relaxing afternoon of surf music and activities in Pier Plaza, next to the Huntington Beach Pier.
Pier Plaza concerts are from 11 am to 5:30 pm.
You can browse and shop from a myriad of vendors on the Pier Plaza all day, from 8 am to 5 pm. during the months of summer.
Concert location: Huntington Beach Pier. 11am to 5:30 pm, Free, all ages
During the event Our Foundation will be sponsoring a FREE community CPR an AED use certification class.
At this event we are sponsoring two classes during the day. One class will be hosted in the morning and one in the afternoon.
Each class has a maximum of 12 participants.
About Our CPR & AED Certification Event
Our classes are suitable for the general public. We deliver a full certification program which conforms to the 2015 AHA Guidelines Update for CPR and ECC and 2015 AHA and ARC for First Aid.
Our training is conducted by certified CPR/AED and First Aid instructors through the American Safety & Health Institute.
Providing certification training empowers the layperson to be able to perform lifesaving techniques properly.
CPR and AED Adult + Child (Class Room Only)
- CPR and AED Adult + Child certification
- Class Duration approximately 4 Hours
- The latest CPR training updates
- Classroom and practical CPR and rescue breathing techniques
- Two year certification card
At the conclusion of the class you will invited to download the GoodSAM App.
The GoodSAM App connects those in need with those in the local community who have life saving skills to help until the emergency services arrive.
The GoodSAM Alerter App uses locational services to track the location of a person in need of a help; after a call is triggered we know exactly where the person is located.
The GoodSAM Responder App continuously sends locational updates to our server to allow the location of volunteer doctors/first-aiders to be tracked so they can be notified of any emergencies occurring around them.
Steps:
- Register for the event. It's that easy!
- Our courses are filled on a first come first serve basis
- Once the event is full you will be given the option to join our waitlist
If the course becomes full and you join our waitlist we will keep your contact information and email you an invitation to the next local event.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
Our Foundation offers FREE community group CPR and AED certification training courses. We aim to offer group classes at locations throughout the U.S.
While our events are free for attendees, there is a cost to our Foundation; unfortunately our resources are limited. Adult + Child, CPR and AED training typically costs around $60.
We know life can get hectic, but please remember, If you register for a CPR training event, and you can’t attend, valuable training might be wasted. Please consider sending someone else in your place. Just drop us a line with the new attendees name, if possible.
If you don't know someone who would like to take your place, let us know and we will fill the spot. You'll always be welcome in the next training session!

The Pier Plaza Farmer's Market and Art Afair is an established part of the Friday Afternoon Experience at Huntington Beach, California, and offers one of the most scenic seaside locations for shopping and treasure hunts in all of California.
The beautiful Pacific Ocean provides an incredible backdrop backdrop for artists to showcase original artwork and handmade crafts. Vendors from the local community as well as from all over the country can be found at the Friday and Weekend events. The Pier Art-A-Faire Fridays draws a diverse crowd of local and out-of-town visitors.
The Farmer's Market Huntington Beach is a coastal food shopping pleasure for tourists and locals who seek certified farm fresh, California grown produce.
The event is held most Friday afternoons in Huntington Beach at Pier Plaza parking lot, it runs from around Noon to 5 p.m.
During the event Our Foundation will be sponsoring a FREE community event certifying 12 local community members in CPR and AED use. (See our calendar for class dates)
